who was the Zera Shimshon?
- Rav Shimshon Chaim ben Rav Nachman Michaeli was an 18th-century Torah scholar and kabbalist from Italy.
- He served as the rav of four major Jewish communities.
- After the loss of his only son, he authored a series of sefarim as his spiritual legacy.
- The Zera Shimshon was published in 1778, one year before his passing.
- In the introduction, he promised that those who study his Torah would be blessed with children, health, livelihood, and honor.
- For many years, his works were rare, complex, and difficult to understand.
